In Monteverde, eat at Pizzeria Johnny at least once. Do the SkyTrek canopy
zipline tour. Major rush. Get a guide and do a half-day hike through the
Bosque Nuboso de Monteverde. You'll see tons more stuff that you would miss on
your own.

In Arenal, visit Tabacon hot springs a couple of hours before dusk. It has to
be seen in the daylight to appreciate the size and landscaping, and at night to
appreciate the contrast and cooler weather. Stay at a hotel with a view of the
volcano, and have them wake you if the weather is clear and it is erupting.

I haven't been to Manuel yet, that is next trip.
