Many very friendly people in Mexico. A couple Mexico City incidents from our
New Year's trip:

1) We went to a churreria/chocolateria and it was very crowded. The system
for getting a table was completely mysterious, and after 15 minutes we
seemed to be making no progress. Suddenly a woman came up behind us and said
in English, "Here, we have a table for you." She and her husband had seen us
looking confused so they staked one out and grabbed it for us.

2) At Plaza Garibaldi (where the Mariachis and other musicians gather) we
were adopted by a group of brothers and sisters who explained all sorts of
things about the city and the square to us, and then insisted on buying us
several shots of tequila and, later on, dinner.

Many smaller things too, all the time really.
