reader. I suggest missing Monte Alban because I found the most interesting
features of these ruins have been moved to Mexico's museum of anthropology.
On a first trip and tight schedule, I would think time is better spent at
Palenque, Bonampak, Uxmal and Chichen Itza.
The reason for stopping in Tuxla is that I love seeing the sights on
mountain roads. Going to Sumidero or the zoo is just resting and waiting for
the afternoon ride up by car or combi to San Cristobal. To some this is only
a waste of time.
I certainly hope the traveller will read a couple of books before the trip
and make his own choices.
