| Subject: seeking Costa Rica advice

I'm want to produce a yoga video and have an interest in shooting the
session with an exotic background such as hawaii or Costa Rica.
I have visited Hawaii and feel truly unwelcome there as a haole - plus the
cost of everything is inflated. A B&B arrangement has been discussed at a
fairly reasonable price in Maui - but the cost of the flight to Maui are
about $150-250 more than to Costa Rica (from Houston).
Costa Rica is another option I am considering but I have never been there. I
feel safe in Hawaii - just not welcome.
I have heard stories (urban legends???) about robberies. ., problems in
CR and wnat to see if anyone here has some advice ro recent experience to
share.
If CR has similar beautiful vistas as Hawaii and is safe, I believe I could
shoot the video in CR much cheaper than in Hawaii.
Any prodcutive feedback is welcome.
