my wife and I are going back March 11th, will stay at the Luxor
Regente, I am not sure re Guests, but I assume most of the hotels arent
"Guest friendly"
We prefer the street life on Copa as to the more conservative lfestyle
at Ipanema.
As to safety I try hard to be careful and after midnite take a cab back
to the hotel even though we are on Ave Atlantica. If its dark and
deserted, do not go there, go where there are lights and people and get
a taxi when going home to your hotel. I prefer hotels re apartments as I
like a doorman and some security..

Do not carry a lot of money either ..
