I don't have the exact times handy. If you dig around in my old posts to
this group you can probably find them. The exact time will depend on whether
you take the first or second class trains. The two trains leave each end,
Los Mochis and Chihuahua, early in the morning about an hour apart with the
first class train in the lead. IIRC they depart Creel west bound around
eleven and twelve-thirty. West bound if you're riding the second class train
you'll lose the light around Baca or El Fuerte, east bound you'll have
plenty of daylight unless you encounter unexpected delays.

Maybe, the trains do carry some freight. I'm not sure why you'd want to
go to the expense as you'll only be laying over for a short time, mostly
after dark.
