I always leave 15 to 20% of the total bill in a restaurant. Hotel
maids get 1 or 2 dollars a day and I like to catch them in the hall on
my first day and give them $5.00 on account. It makes a big
difference in the service and they really appreciate it. I always
give a cab driver at least 10% of the fare but never less then 10
pesos. A lot of people tell me they don't tip the cab drivers but I
feel they certainly deserve it and most expect it.
Don't carry any more cash then you can afford to loose. There's an
atm machine around every bank and a bank on every other corner.
Home this helps.
