Los Patos/Sirena C.R.?? Posted on: 19 Jul 2004 15:22:18 GMT

What's the skinny on Los Patos and Sirena Ranger stations in Corcovado, C.R.?
For hiking in the park.
Everything I have read says you need reservations. There is no food but what
you pre-arrange at ranger station? Food listed as B-L-D ($6-8-8 respectively).

All this info from the web and various guidebooks.

We all know things on the ground are sometimes different - as in the need for
reservations, food availability, etc.
Anyone have any info on the above.

Is it possible to get a guide or trip on arrival in Puerto Jimenez or La Palma?
Or should everything be booked beforehand, which obviously leaves out any
guides that do not have a website.

Thanks,
Ken
