I was in C R last month to go White water rafting and it was great
fun. Used San Jose for a base and it was O K but nothing spectacular.
Rented a car and traveled for 4 days enjoyed seeing Arenal volcano in
La Fortuna and the rainforest but it ain't Kilimanjaro and the roads
are so bad we carried two spares. They grow wonderful coffee and
bananas but the food in general was a disappointment. Loved the
people
We took a cable car into the tree tops to see Arenal which is clouded
by mist most of the time and you're not allowed to climb it. Riding
the "Zip Line" over the tree tops was fun too-try it.
