You want to go to the jungle and do not have much time and your budget
is tight???
You can go Puerto Maldonado instead only 30 minutes air from Cusco and
you do not need to fly back to Lima to go there. It will turn out
being less expensive than going to Iquitos...... just in the air
tickets you already are spending less money as you will only fly Cusco
- Puerto Maldonado instead of Cusco - Lima -Iquitos. If you want to
see macaws you can take a tour going deep in the jungle near the
border with Bolivia by Heath River where the Macaw clay lick is
located..... and if you have more time you can visit Pampas del Heath
which is amazing..... because in the following step the surrounding
changed drastically to the Pampas grasslands
