Re: Cancun Vs Aculpulco Posted on: Sat, 09 Jul 2005 19:35:46 GMT

Acapulco has more of a mexican flavor, in my experience. Most of the
visitors are Mexican. Also a wider range of accommodations, from cheap
to expensive. Cancun is almost indistinguishable from a resort in the
USA, in my view, and is basically for Americans and other first world
residents. Cancun has better ruins within day tour distance, but no
mountains in the Yucatan. Probably more eco-tourism type of
opportunities in the Yucatan.

You may prefer Puerto Vallarta to either Acapulco or Cancun, depending
on your taste, but perhaps you just want to try something different.

However, a lot depends on where you stay. If you stay in a resort for
Americans your experience will be different than if you stay in a hotel
frequented by Mexicans.
