Hi Laura,
We love Akumal..it's very quiet and peacful. One place I would recomend
is Akumal Beach Resort. They set up for a wedding on the resort at the
beach. We witnessed one last Feb during our stay. As for things to
do..the list is endless. There's tours to the ruins such as
Coba..Chichen Itza and Tulum. Shopping in Cancun, Puerto Avanturas and
Playa del Carmen also go over to Cozumel for a day. Snorkeling tours or
catamaran day trips from Akumal bay. There are several Cenotes in the
area also..Hidden Worlds, Manatee Cenote and Casa Cenote where there is
also a resturaunt.
For more info you can go to locogringo.com and playadelcarmeninfo.com
where there are hundreds of experienced people and locals there to
help.
