as far as I know.. the sea side is called desert in Peru.
and as far as I know.. old peru inhabitants used to bury their dead there.
Now there are homeless people. and they just build their barracks above
tombs
water is too cold to swim in Peru
there are just a few palces in the north where you can swim.
You just have to be careful to pick yr hotel in Lima
the very centre is considered very dangerous at all times but expecially at
night..
therefore hotels in the centre are much cheaper than hotels in other zones
be prepared to bargain hard.
a 70 dollar rate for a 4 stars hotel would be normal in Lima.
In Cuzco it is different. Hotels tend to be much more expensive..
ask the cheap ones if they have water and electricy at all times during the
day.
they have often electricity and water shortage in Cuzco.
