I agree with Don. We spend two months during the winter in PV at a condo
just slightly north of Mismaloya. You are right on the public bus line and
for 4.5 pesos you are in town within 15 minutes. The area is gorgeous and
there is so much to do and see. The restaurants throughout are amazing but
don't miss the street food. We have walked all over the city at night and
never had a problem. Just use your common sense and behave as you would at
home. There is a wonderful jungle safari tour and of course, the boat tours
are great as well. Just ignore the timeshare hawkers on the streets. They
can be obnoxious. You will have a most wonderful time there...and a have a
