That's why almost everyone in Florida uses AC year 'round.
Most of So.Fla. is concrete, asphalt and manicured lawns, so
the self-respecting snakes and gators stay put in the 'Glades.
The few that don't know their place are quickly dispatched.

I spent 17 years of my youth (1955-1973) in Miami and in that
time only encountered 1 small grass snake. However, Florida
has enuff people already, so anything we can do to discourage
the OP from moving in, suits me. [Roger]
