But the dew-point (and thus the humidity) is roughly set by the ocean
temperature - at least if you are anywhere near the coast.

That's why the clouds on the mountains as the damp air from the sea is blown
upwards to cooler heights - where the temperature reaches the dew-point set
by sea temp.
