Hi,
this summer I want to hike in the Rockies around Aspen, Colorado.
I've been driving through that area last year and decided to go
bach there with two week s of time for hiking...
The two main questions are " Where to stay?" ( I'm not a millionaire,
which seems to be best for Aspen ;-) and "When to go best?"
I prefer not too warm weather, especially when going high
elevation gains - and that's what I want to do there - but better
warm & dry than cold & wet...
Also interested in which 14ers are reachable without climbing
(i.e. by hiking only). No Problems with drop-offs, but I won't go
anything which requires technical climbing equipment.
