Hello all,
We live in the atlanta burbs and like to
venture out to the north GA parks that
have accessible hiking areas and good waterfalls.
We have already done Amicalola, Annay Ruby (unicoi),
Tallulah, richard russell, and red top mountain parks.
I wanted to get recommendations on any other
parks that are accessible from driving point of
view and easy as far as walking/hiking goes.
Also, if you know of any alternate driving routes
to get there, I'd appreciate them. I was considering
Cloudland canyon, but driving I-75 with lots of trucks
around seems less than ideal. How is the driving on
I-515. less trucks?
Was also looking at the highlands area, but heard
the roads are very twisty. I could handle Richard Russell
Scenic highway in GA very well, is it much worse than that?
Thank you for any advice!
