I have been to Ocean City, NJ many times. Its a wonderful beach
community. My only beef about it is that parking in the boardwalk area
is insane. And I do mean insane. I have driven to Boston and New York
many times, but parking in those cities is trivial compared to Ocean
City in the summer unless you are staying at a hotel or rental property
that has off-street parking. Some of my family usually rent a house for
a week or two in Ocean City so I usually visit them at least once each
summer.

Wildwood is my favorite NJ beach community. Stay in North Wildwood where
its quiet and parking is not a problem. Central Wildwood is a loud area
and parking is difficult, but a lot better than Ocean City. The beach is
okay, but it is not free so I rarely use the beach there.

I have been to Wildwood, NJ many times. Its a wonderful beach community.
I usually go to Wildwood so I don't get to Cape May too often. Cape May
does not have a boardwalk and I don't like the beach much because its a
narrow strip of land and there's a fee to use the beach.
There are tons of places to eat at each of the three communities you
mentioned. My favorite is Grof's which is on the Wildwood Boardwalk at
Magnolia Street. I also like Menz's family restaurant in Rio Grand, NJ.
Sam's is great for pizza. Its on the WW Boardwalk at 26th Street. Across
from Sam's is Curly's Fries which has the best french fries on the
planet. You can bring Curly's fries into Sam's and eat the fries with
some pizza or one of Sam's delicious sandwhiches.
All of those places are wonderful family vacation destinations. My
favorite by far is Wildwood because it has the best boardwalk, most
amusements, arcades and restaurants and its reasonably priced for hotel
rooms although I now usually stay in a friend's condo there. Wildwood
also has a free beach area and several public rest rooms that are kept
in great condition.
If you go on a holiday weekend such as Labor Day, reserve your hotel
room in advance for any of those areas. You can find hotels simply by
searching on the web. |
