Re: Ocean City, NJ - Jersey Coast? Posted on: Thu, 12 Aug 2004 15:09:47 -0400

Many Thanks Barbara! I seem to remember a really well-lit up Ice Cream
joint in Wildwood Crest.......you would happen to know it or its name would
you?

The beaches in Ocean City and Atlantic City are similar. Wildwood is a
bit different in that the beach itself is very wide and the slope into
the water very gradual. This makes it a very safe beach for younger
children. It is also one of the few beaches in southern NJ that has no
beach access fee.

Yes, there are parking lots right by the beach. The width of the beach
may be a problem, but it's narrower in some places. I think North
Wildwood has a more narrow beach.
