I just talked to my son who lives in Bellevue. His wife goes South on I-405
to her office while he travels North to I-5.
He reports that the only possible slowdown on I-405 is as you pass the
downtown area of Bellevue and that is only at rush hours. He travels in the
HOV lane and says normally (accident -free) they never go less than the
speed limit from the Northern entrance entrance to I-405 all the way to
I-90. His wife says all is clear sailingl except at rush hours when
travelling the Southern half of this hiway.
There are however a couple of construction areas on I-5. The first is
around Milepost 250 where it is single lane each way for 3 miles on
Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. The second is some bridge overpass work
near Mt Vernon which is 5 days/week.
