I am sure the EU would like Airbus to get whatever advantages they can
get, just like the US would like Boeing to get them.
As to the WTO, sounds like sour g.s. I believe the US used to favor
free trade, and they used to be a big supporter of the WTO as a result.
When did that change? Why has the US been involkved in all sorts of
anti-competitive practices, within the WTO umbrella, but also within Nafta?
(Incidentally, between Airbus and Boeing, my suspecicion is that the whole
affair is disingenuous *on both sides.* But eh, as long as it's not *my*
tax dollar that goes into subsidies, why should I care? Yes, I aqm dead
against the Canadian federal government subsidizing Bombardier. I am all
for Quebec impoverishing themselves that way though.)
