Has it ever occured to you that Airbus product might just be better than
Boeing's legacy products (737, 767, 747) and as a result, Airbus makes sales
irrespective of whatever subsisides they may have that might or might not be
superior to those of Boeing ?

Despite all the subsidies the 7E7 is getting, does this make it an instant
success ? nop. You need to have the right product at the right time. Now is
not the right time.

Airbus happened to have better products than Boeing at a time when airlines
were buying.
Boeing might have a better product than Airbus with its 7E7 in a few years
when airlines might again be buying, and that will make Boeing quite
succesful.
