My friends from the sunny south of the USA, hence the term redneck, seem to be
evenly "dispersed" in Kerry and Bush supporters. These fellow with REAL suntans on
necks and arms tell me that that is where the term came from. We here in the
northern part of North America cover our bodies due to the cooler temps. Mind you
the only way we get similar "real" suntans is by visiting tanning salons. Thus, I
would assume they are evenly dispersed among the two political parties you mention.
As for cigar smoking my friends from the USA when I tell them we import the cigars
into Canada because of the large numbers available to the free world due to Jessie
Helms, everyone laughs. No imports allowed into the USA frees up LOTS of cigars for
the rest of the world who eagerly purchase them or even barter "western" goods and
needed supplies for the cuban products. The Cubans have developed quite a free
market tourist market too. Not perfect by any means, however, such is the free
market system.
Earlier you mention LIBERALS. I am not familiar with being a term for a political
party in the USA. There are Liberal Parties in Canada and Australia. Is there a
Liberal party in the USA that you seem to speak negatively about? Or is it just a
term for folks that perhaps lean toward the left of where you are at? Just
wondering.
