About 10 years ago there was some kind of agricultural checkpoint
coming into California from Nevada. I don't remember what highway,
but I was the only car for miles and the guy must have been bored. I
told him I didn't have any plants, fruits, vegetables, etc. but he
asked to look inside the car and I let him. I got busted with a bag
of apples in my cooler that I had forgotten about. Maybe it was my
polite demeanor or good looks or he just felt sorry for me, but he let
me go with just a warning.
Be careful out there. |
