Well there you go. There is a dandy solution. The native people had to endure the arrival of
foreign born people who made a claim on their land and then opened it up to settlement by their
own kind. The Jews have a claim to the land on the basis of their religious writings. It was one
of many places their people had lived after generations of roaming, and one from which they were
expelled 2,000 years ago. The Palestinians have been on the land ever since. In practical terms,
it is Palestine. It was convenient for Britain to give away other people's land and to appear to
have done something for the Jews but not have to deal with them themselves.
