It's been a while but we used to like the Country Inn and Suites (once
called Danish Country Inn.) The rooms on the back of the hotel are
quieter and overlook oak woodlands, or at least they used to.

Another poster suggested that 3 days is a lot of time for Solvang, and
it is; but the wineries of Santa Ynez Valley, Santa Barbara and even San
Simeon/Cambria are good day trips from there.

We used to love Solvang not for the kitschy Danish architecture but for
the repertory theater (PCPA) that uses the outdoor "Globe Theatre"
replica in town. They were routinely great productions.
