This is a great trip for those who love the fresh, clear and bracing air
of a Vermont winter's day, and at this time of year we have an hour+ of
extra Sunshine after the solstice! The views through the bare branches of
trees are stunning. If you've never snowshoed before and have always wanted
to, then this is your chance. You'll be amazed at how easy it is! And,
you'll really enjoy the exercise.
In brief, here are some details:
- We stay all three nights at the Stowehof Inn & Resort on the Mountain
Road in Stowe, VT. There are wonderful views of Mt. Mansfield, a pool, and a
Jacuzzi at the inn. We are close to many, many trails for wonderful days of
snowshoeing.
- We're picking everyone up who needs a ride from the Burlington, VT area
on Friday, 2/11, and heading over to Stowe for 4 days of snowshoeing, 3
nights lodging at a great inn, great meals, camaraderie and more! We head
back to Burlington again Monday 2/14, after a last morning of fun!
- The price is only $895, which includes all meals, transportation to
and/from Burlington, snowshoes and poles, and guide services.
- Each day's snowshoeing is easy-to-moderate, with more challenging
options for those who want them later. We do an average of 2 miles in the
morning for 2+ hours, and another 2 in the afternoon. An afternoon option is
also to sit by the fire at the lodge and enjoy the views, or hang out in
Stowe Village at a cafe and watch the people.
