We are just back from 6 days in Niagara Falls, Canada.

As Dave says, the Canadian side offers more and better hotels.

We stayed at the relatively new Embassy Suites, which are right above the
Horseshoe Falls (closest to them). Reasonable rates. Has a pool and workout
room. Some very good restaurants within short walking distance. Very
competent staff.
