And we drive from Tucson to the Bay Area in one day, as we did
over Christmas.
It's a lot esier to get from Phoenix to Berkeley than from Las
Vegas to Monterey. The former is freeways all the way on the most
direct route, the latter isn't; the Sierra Nevada, as well as the
Coast Range get in the way.
