good day
my advice is to drop NYC from your list
the best way would be to drive BUT remember in general I advise across
US east/west takes 5 days north/south 24 hours
Alamo.com has the best deal on one way trips
I would fly to LA rent the car drive over the east cost ending in Las
Vegas drop car and fly to New Orleans rerent a car drive the south
ending in Miami fly back to LA and home
You can spend two weeks in each area
My general travel rules plan for a day or half day of rest each week if
it be just walking the downtown shopping or seeing the views
Do not put too much on the plate if you can get more time do it we
(family) go to Australia every 6-7 years and for US we find 7 weeks min
most prefer 12 as being best value for the money
hope this gives you some good ideas
