Of course if you want to see the best item that used to be on display go
back toward the ferry to Vancouver and visit the local indian
reservation. They have a wonderful carved wood sculpture of a sea hunt.
It was originally commissioned for the above museum. It appears that
the artist was into realism and the folks at the museum forgot that the
indians conducted their sea hunts .. The Victoria museum eventually
donated it to the indians. It's a good 10m long and 3-4m wide.
