Subject: Re: American tosses pillows off most domestic flights Posted on: Sun, 13 Feb 2005 04:07:45 -0500

What is really sad about this is that the lack of pillows will also mean
the end of pillow fights in airplanes.

And with airlines also removing food, it also means the end of food fights.

It also means that by removing the means for passengers to playfully
release tensions (such as with pillow fights), real violence may
increase on US aircraft, bringing back the serious pre 9/11 problem of
air rage. This will result in Homeland Security forcing airlines to
replace seat belts with cockpit controlled straight jackets that will
only be released once the doors are opened after landing. Crews will
also be trained in injecting tranquilisers in any patient that complains
about the straightjacket.

In the end, the installation of the straigh jackest will end up costing
much more than just the pillows, showing how narrow minded the legacy
USA airlines really are.
