Okay, I know this is a "troll" post and I really shouldn't add to it,
but here's my take on this (and obviously I don't take any of this
seriously right now)...

If America conquers Canada, then we'd probably insist (translate to
"make it a law") that the Quebecois stop speaking French, so the
beautiful city of Hull will become even more desirable and will grow
exponentially in the years immediately following the conquest. There
won't be any major employments source left in Ottawa (and they'll have
to change the name of their hockey team) since it won't be the seat of
government, so Ottawa's population will decrease, and the name will
finally just have to be changed to...South Hull. The end.
