Manhattan extends to about 12 miles long and about 2 miles wide
(obviously it's narrower as the Harlem River approaches the Hudson).
By the way, there's actually a little piece of the borough that crosses
the Harlem River. Anyhow, Harlem is probably about 5 square miles and
all of it is in Manhattan. In general it encompasses most of the area
from the 110s to the 150s. The area you're probably thinking of in the
Bronx is the Mott Haven area.
