For a nice dinner, go to the French restaurant in one of the Best
Western motels (Green something?) in Canmore. A delicious meal which
my wife considered one of the best she's had. For a special place to
stay, the Banff Springs Hotel could be considered, but it's expanded so
much over the years that I personally wouldn't want to stay there. The
same can be said for Chateau Louise at Lake Louise.

Besides Banff NP, there's Jasper, Yoho, and Kootenay NPs, all
immediately adjacent with lots to see.
