Definitely see Lake Louise (do the hike to the teahouse along
the shore), Moraine Lake (very close to L.Louise) in the Valley
of the Ten Peaks (10 mountains well above 10,000' around the
blue lake). Direct south of Banff Sulfur mountain (cable train)
is nice. There is a hot swimming pool (40 deg Celsius) on the
mountainside. Definitely do the Icefield Parkway and take the
bus onto the glacier there. Visit Yoho NP (close to L.Louise)
to go and see Takkakaw Falls (>800' high waterfall, located 14
miles from and starting at the village Field, up a curving
road in a sidecanyon. Spectacular mountain scenery.
Close to Field also starts a nice hike to Emerald Lake, again
mountains, snow and deep blue lake.
