Its pretty well signposted through Illinois, Missouri, Oklahoma, Arizona and
California. The Oklahoma and Arizona sections are probably the
best preserved.
Most of it has disappeared under the Interstate in New Mexico
and Texas
I strong recommend you get a copy of Tom Snyders book
Route 66 Traveler's Guide & Roadside Companion
Even if you dont use it on the road it tells you which sections
are easily found.
