Subject: Savannah Advice Needed Posted on: Thu, 10 Mar 2005 23:40:37 +0000 (UTC)

In late April I'll be spending a few days in Savannah (and nearby Tybee
Island) and will be taking my elderly mother along. We're interested
in seeing beautiful or historic homes, gardens, and general
sightseeing.

Any general tourism advice would be appreciated, but I'd especially
appreciate any info about accessibility as that's a concern. Mom can
walk just fine but has trouble with steps. If it's just a few steps
(like at the entrance to a building) its usually no problem, but she
doesn't like to climb a whole flight of stairs as it's just too tiring.

(We already have hotel reservations, so no advice is needed in that
area.)

Thanks,

Jim
