Subject: Quickest route from DC to Montpelier VT? Posted on: Fri, 11 Mar 2005 06:29:06 -0500

What is the quickest route from DC to Montpelier, Vermont?

From maps.yahoo.com, it says 8 hours and 35 minutes from DC > Montpelier via
NJ Turnpike:
http://maps.yahoo.com/dd_result?ed=xTowJeV.wimQQVd6MsEKU7USFw--&csz=washington%2C+dc&country=us&tcsz=montpelier%2C+vt&tcountry=us&oerr=-3008
I figure the Turnpike will probably take longer with traffic and toll boths
every five feet.

I did another route from DC > Harrisburg, PA > Montpelier. It went like
this:
2 hours 32 mins
then 7 hours 8 mins
For 9 hours and 40 mins or about an extra hour.

I'll be leaving DC early on a Thursday morning - probably between 4A-5A (to
be in Montpelier around noon or before) and leaving Vermont in time to be
back in DC for 11P. If any one has driven the route, I'd like to hear your
comments.

Thanks,
Brett
