Actually, what's wrong with Princeton? Nice community, all the benefits of
a university town. If you're looking for less expensive just head up Rte
206, slightly out of town to the north. On Cherry Valley Road there's a
Pulte community (Fieldwood) where there are condos in the 4's and low 5's
that are very nice and reasonably new --- overall a good deal.

Any of the towns surrounding Princeton are decent --- Hopewell, Pennington.
If you're into crime and drugs, Trenton would work, otherwise, avoid that.
Since you won't need the train for commuting, Princeton Junction would be a
waste of money. East Windsor and Hightstown are pretty decent and fairly
(relatively) reasonable.
