I know it's not exactly what you were looking for, but you might take a look
at Capital Hill Suites. Right behind the Library of Congress in a good
neighborhood and a very short walk to the Metro.
We stayed there trip before last and it would be perfect for you if it's
still as nice as before. Now that they are owned by Starwood, I'd say
that's probably a plus. Here's a link I just found, and you can also find

Don't forget to see the American Indian museum. Short walk from the
