This question, which comes up every so often, puzzles me no end.

What shoes do you wear now? Are they comfortable? Why not bring those?
Surley you already own a few pairs of comfortable shoes. When I travel for
extended periods or even just for a weekend, I wear the shoes I already own.
Am I missing something?
