The Big Island is my favorite because of the variety of terrains and
activities, but Maui and Kauai are wonderful, too.

On Hawai'i, there's Hawai'i Volcanoes National Park (www.nps.gov/havo)
where Kilauea is still erupting; City of Refuge (www.nps.gov/puho),
the whole Kona coast (including places to see petroglyphs), Hilo,
etc. etc.
