Tough choice, Sarah, but based on your description of interests I
would recommend Kauai, esp for photography. Still not that touristy
either, compared with Oahu and Maui, though for MY interests, Maui
still rules. The Big Island wouldn't be my first choice, mainly
because of the poorer beaches, but it still has a lot going for it.
As I said, it's a tough call because all the islands are incredibly
beautiful. Perhaps you could visit more than one during your week
off. The inter-island flights are like catching a bus and you used to
be able to buy booklets of tickets. Cheers. JOHN
