Lots of good advice being posted. The only thing I will add is that I think you
can't go wrong with any of the islands (ie. every one has great views, and
hiking and lots of things to do, etc...). Oahu is more urban than most of the
other islands, but there are lots of things to do depending on your interests.
I think Kauai will suit your purposes very well, but the Big Island can also be
equally nice. No matter what you choose I think you will have a great time.
Slightly OT, I am reminded during my first visit to Hawaii how many people we
met who told us that they came to Hawaii after high school/college for a
vacation and never went back home. They called their parents and sold their
return tickets. Same story, over and over. Its very seductive. |
