Subject: Closest Family Beach to Orlando? Posted on: 21 Apr 2005 18:13:20 GMT

Going for a week to Florida. Will go to Disney and was wondering what beach
is close enough to drive to for a family of four with a 4 and 6 year old. I
heard Clearwater is beautiful and there are no waves which is ideal for my
kids, but am I looking at a long 2 hour drive? Will I encounter traffic
during the week? Daytona is closer (1 hour?) but how calm is the ocean? Lots
of waves? Should I just stay 3-4 days in Clearwater and the rest at Disney?
(I will only go to 2 parks).
