Not long ago, we got a room at the Roosevelt (maybe 4* , great midtown
location) for $125 a night on hotwire.com. Happened to get upgraded to a
suite becuz they were full and we stayed a full week.. You might work the
priceline/hotwire sites a little and see how you do.
