My son just got back from his Washington DC/New York 8th grade class trip.
We're a San Francisco area family.

He wants to know what non-US cities would be similar to a combination of San
Diego and New York.

He likes the warmth of San Diego including the beaches, the water, the
outdoor lifestyle and he likes the big city feel of New York with the
activity, variety, etc.

Any thoughts? Remember, something outside the United States.
