Portland is one of the more capricious TSA groups I've dealt with.

I've been thinking about getting a pair of these socks with leather
bottoms to them and see if they demand I remove them. I'm also
contemplating getting "protest" shoes. Basically some sort of paper
shoe that you leave behind everytime you go through. Oughta drive 'em
nuts after a while. Have to get enough of us malcontents to wear 'em
though.
